Upon completion of this independent study course, the learner will be able to:
1 Identify two differences in the scopes of practice for RNs and LPNs in Ohio.
2 Identify at least three basic principles of safe and effective delivery of nursing care to Ohio health care consumers.
3 Describe the standards of delegation of nursing tasks in Ohio to the benefit of staff and health care consumers.
4 Identify the permissions and prohibitions for the LPN in the administration of intravenous therapy in Ohio.
5 Define professional boundaries.
6 Identify at least three reasons to notify the Ohio Board of Nursing of nruse's actions related to nursing practice.
